Scott McDonald

Hi there!

My name is Scott McDonald; I’m an acrobatic coach known for my creativity and for teaching a wide variety of disciplines in a progressive, step-by-step way that makes learning safe, fun and approachable!
I’ve worked with many different students including celebrities, amputees, children with learning disabilities, complete beginners, Cirque du Soleil teams, and Olympic champions- no matter who you are or what you aspire to learn, I would love to help you achieve your goals.
I was not a naturally gifted or talented acrobat- I was predominantly self-taught and learned through years of trial and error, so I understand the difficulties of learning and am extremely passionate about teaching others. I believe in celebrating progress and focusing on one aspect of a new skill at a time- I coach others using the exact same method I used to train myself, a method that took me from training in gyms to performing on stages around the world with celebrities, Cirque du Soleil, and more!

When not coaching, I create free youtube tutorials, direct/choreograph acrobatics for productions of all shapes and sizes, perform and present circus-related research internationally, consult with people working on their acrobatic careers, and host an annual national medical conference in Las Vegas entitled Circus Meets Medicine.
